Hope and Care's Tutoring Program provides children and youth tutoring services for academic success in preparation for a pathway to access and succeed in post-secondary education. One of the community services that Hope and Care conducts on regular bases is empowering refugee/immigrant youth and children through education. Our aim is to improve school achievement and high school completion of youth from marginalized communities and/or youth with less academic support at home due to their parents’ lower education levels. Our university graduate members and hired professional teachers provide free regular tutoring classes to students from grades 2 to 12. We help students with their assignments and homework and give extra teaching hours on topics they might have difficulties or not fully understood on their regular school hours. We also tutor young adults who want to upgrade their math and science skills and plan to go to trade schools.
